Over the years, they have created products that perfectly meet the needs of its consumers according to social, cultural, and environmental changes, so it’s no secret why Tupperware is celebrating its 70th year this year! Tupperware not only provides people with lifelong, heavy duty products but also career opportunities. Tupperware’s history is rich with being advanced in cultural and social changes and stayed one step ahead of trends to provide their customers and consultants with the best products and services.
Tupperware parties became one of the hottest social trends in the late 1940s and continued to be the most effective way of selling Tupperware because consultants could show people how to use the products correctly! Being a consultant in that time period provided work for women post-war time after the men returned home and took the jobs women had filled. Being a Tupperware consultant also proved to be a great way to add two incomes and still be at home to care for families. Over seven decades later, the same still applies and people are still selling Tupperware and providing an income and lifestyle for themselves. Tupperware is doing something right!
Tupperware’s only North American manufacturing and distribution plant is located right here in our beautiful state! Twice a year, we travel to Hemingway, South Carolina, and cater Tupperware’s corporate retreat and corporate Christmas party! For the retreat, Tupperware brings in their personal consultants from around the world for a day to tour the plant and enjoy time spent with fellow consultants, eating delicious food and enjoying the merriment that is working for such a splendid company.
Catering Tupperware’s corporate retreat is something we look forward to each year! The retreat typically consists of 300 consultants and is one of our largest corporate events that we cater!
